Bands in crisis in one of the biggest myths of the Rock ‘n' Roll world. The music world is full of stories of bands breaking up, artists slamming doors in anger, heartbroken fans, wasted talents, and so on. All the elements needed for a well-made drama (and at times comedy). This program explores how cinema has translated these crises into some pretty good films.
This program hopes to explore the Israel-Gaza conflict - mainly through films made in recent years - and to try and show the intersections between political and national definitions and personal and everyday moments. Following the turbulent summer months, these films and meetings grant different perspectives on the reality surrounding the Gaza Strip, and perhaps allow contemplating a different reality, free from existing assumptions.
