Reframing Reality

For many people, disability is a daily reality, requiring them to confront their lives differently. The aim of "Reframing Reality" festival is to broaden the public's awareness of disability and to present all aspects of this world in its vast arrays and colors, as shown in contemporary quality films. The films and performances presented will provide viewers with a top-level cultural artistic experience, while raising public awareness. The festival will showcase a wide array of artists who chose to deal with the topic of disability, and will present a large selection of films.
     

Paris on Film

Showcasing Paris in a new, rich, and fresh light, this program includes several films situated in Paris.

From love storis, to family drama, into the future of Paris 2054, a musical, immigration, Paris at the turn of the millenium, puppy love, police thriller to Paris today.

     

Estonia Film Week

For the first time the Israeli public will encounter Estonian cinema. With its harsh weather, where the residents have to do with only six hours of daylight for two months, Estonia offers a range of filmmaking.

Encounters with Ariane Mnouchkine

Ariane Mnouchkine is one of the leading theatre creators in the world. Since establishing Théâtre du Soleil in the 1960s, she has led it as director and creative director. These encounters with the theatre of Ariane Mnouchkine will present her wonderful work to the Israeli public.

Animated Strips of Memory: the Shoah in Comics and Animation

Since the end of WWII, the memory of the Shoah has been commemorated in various art forms. This year, we explore the ways in which animated films, as well as comics and graphic novels, have approached this subject. Some of the works deal directly with the Shoah; others deal with oppression, persecution, and totalitarian regimes. This program is part of the Holocasut Memorial Day program (events on April 11th are free-of-chagre)
