The Diary in Israeli Cinema

The accessibility of filming means make them an ideal substitute for the self examination and the inner thought process known as the written diary. The self story, which the filmed diary presumes, is constructed mostly during the editing phase, when the documentary filmmaker has to answer questions about organizing the film in a narrative and commentary way, so it will have a saying about the period of time documented. In Israel, David Parlov's Yoman laid the foundations for this genre. This month we will be screening several diary films made in Israel.
