These documentaries touch subjects such as current affairs, historical insights, moral dilemmas, social issues, trauma, personal complex stories, biographies, and more.
     

Brazilian Film Festival 2009

The Festival in its 9th edition remains the window for the audio-visual Brazilian art in Israel, a one of a kind event dedicated to Brazilian cinema and a central channel for the distribution of Brazilian culture in Israel. The Festival's program offers feature and documentary films that have caught the attention of movie goers around the world. We hope that the audience will enjoy the films, discussions and panels with the Festival's guests.

In the country which has become a wanted filming location for Hollywood, a local film industry flourishes. Nollywood is the third largest film industry in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood, and may have already past Hollywood. In the past year, more than 2000 films were produces, mostly in English and some in the local languages. But it is the English ones are the ones that make Nigerian films successful in the world. The selection screened here deal with different subjects such as the clash between tribal traditions and modern Nigeria, others tale mystic storylines and some portray life today.
