Tribute to Michal Aviad

At the beginning of November, Michal Aviad's first feature film Invisible will be screened in cinemas across the country. The film has just been awarded with the Best Film Award at the Haifa Film Festival. In honor of the film, the Cinematheque will hold a tribute to the works of Michal Aviad. Her films examine social phenomena from a female perspective.   
     

2011 Eco Cinema Festival

Ecocinema presents films dealing with the most important environmental issues we are facing today - organic nutrition and sustainable agriculture, extinction of species and biodiversity,  renewable energy sources and the dangers of nuclear radioactive waste, etc. Lectures by environmental experts, meetings with film directors and short film competitions will be held at the festival.
     

Korean Film Week

Korean cinema produces al level of intensity unfamiliar to Western viewers. A cinema that successfully combines art house with Hollywood genres. A cinema that consists of films that examine an entirety of subject matters with technical and esthetic preciseness. The program includes the best Korean films from the past few years.

Cinema Law—Tenth Anniversary

Madrid in Film

Celebrating fifty years of diplomatic relations, the Madrid in Film program plays tribute the vibrant capital of Spain with a series of feature and documentary films and art videos all depicting in one way or another the city of Madrid in different times and events.
