Tribute to Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is coming to Israel to screen his new talked-about film Inglourious Basterds, and the Cinematheque will honor his visit with a special tribute. This tribute is composed of several of Tarantino's films (including a preview screening of his new film) and five rare and never before screened in 35 mm films that the director admires and inspired by. To anyone interested in the alternative history of cinema, loves cult films and Tarantino's repertoire, this program is a must.
     

Portuguese Film Week

Throughout the years, Portuguese cinema has drawn great interest around the world. In Israel, leading Portuguese directors have screened their films in major festivals. The Portuguese Film Week further exposes the rich collection of films made in Portugal today to the Israeli audience. This year's program has gathered a selection of recent films by leading and new directors for you to enjoy
     

From the Animation Festival

For the 9th year, the International Animation Festival took place, offering a breeze of artistic, unique, and colorful genres. We will be screening a selection of the films.

Waiting for Leonard Cohen

In honor of Leonard Cohen's performance in Israel we will be screening two documentaries about the great artist and one film that utilizes Cohen's repertoire.

Wacky Film Club

 

We are proud to present the opening of the Wacky Film Club. Each month we will screen one of the funniest films ever made that changed the course of history.
