Two by Kusturica

Bored young Alex leaves Manhattan for Arizona, to visit his uncle who is about to take a bride three decades his junior and who wants Alex to be his best man. A gorgeous, at times surrealistic film by Bosnian filmmaker Emir Kusturica. 

Kusturica returns to Gypsy culture with a wild, edgy tale about the double dealing of a petty criminal and one of the Danube gangster kings. Kusturica’s directing, the script, the breathtaking photography and the gypsy music combine to add a new dimension to the folkloristic genre.
