How can we describe the Shoah? How can memory be represented in Animation? In this lecture, Daniella Koffler, Director and Producer of Animation films, will shed light upon Israeli animation and its portrayal of the Shoah. What are the challenges facing contemporary Israeli animation and how does this medium approach the most defining and traumatic event of the Jewish people in the 20th century? From documentation and didactic representation, to fundamental conclusions on the future of memory in the 21st century.
