Ruth and Shmuel, a young couple from the ultra-Orthodox world, believed they understood everything about love. But when Shmuel, a brilliant Torah scholar destined for greatness, accidentally causes the death of their only child, Srulik—a sweet toddler eagerly awaiting his third birthday and first haircut—their world is shattered by the tragedy. For the first time, Ruth begins to question her faith and beliefs. While Shmuel seeks absolution through traditional means, Ruth pursues practical solutions and quiet acts of defiance within the rigid confines of their religious community.
